April 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the April 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop!

Love being part of this blog hop as it pushes me to come up with new ideas based on a certain theme each month. This month’s theme is a colour challenge!

As soon as I seen this colour combo and I had been enjoying making my own backgrounds lately, I knew this would work perfectly with the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set out of the Occasions Catalog! As well in our color challenge, we had to use a minimum of 3 out of the 5 colours.

Here is my card:

FullSizeRender (11)

For this card, I used a Berry Burst Cardstock base, on which I layered a piece of Powder Pink Cardstock. Before adhering the Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped a bunch of different flowers from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set and coloured them in using Aqua Painters and Ink Refills (Wild Wasabi, Powder Pink and Berry Burst).

For the Happy Birthday sentiment, I used Basic Black Ink to stamp the sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock, layered on top of Powder Pink Cardstock and Berry Burst Cardstock. Then, adhered this all to the card.

Overall, a very simple card to make but definitely lots of fun and can made using all sorts of different colour combinations (which I absolutely love).

  1. I really love this card! The colors you chose all work together so beautifully, and I love how you layered a few of them for the sentiment in the middle. This card inspires me to CASE it with another stamp set! I’m so glad you are part of our very talented group of demonstrators for our blog hops!
